SwitchSignal is a Grindworks service for tracking public competitor changes and creating migration campaign assets. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and the boundaries we keep around customer information.
Information we collect
We collect account information such as name, email address, authentication data, and subscription status. If you create signals or campaign packs, we store the competitor names, URLs, public evidence, notes, generated campaign assets, and outcome feedback you add to the workspace.
We collect billing identifiers from Stripe, such as customer, subscription, price, and checkout session IDs. We do not store full card numbers or payment credentials; Stripe processes payment data.
We collect product analytics such as page views, signup events, checkout starts, signal creation, campaign-pack generation, usage counts, UTM parameters, browser user agent, and referrer. These events help us operate the service and understand launch performance.
How we use information
We use account and workspace data to provide the SwitchSignal product, enforce plan limits, generate campaign packs, support billing, troubleshoot issues, and improve the product experience.
Campaign-pack generation may send the relevant signal details, evidence snippets, competitor context, and requested campaign output shape to our LLM routing provider. SwitchSignal uses OpenRouter for model routing and does not directly instantiate provider SDKs for product generation.
We may use aggregated, non-identifying product usage patterns to improve pricing, onboarding, feature prioritization, and launch distribution. We do not sell customer workspace data.
Public evidence and customer responsibility
SwitchSignal is designed around public competitor pricing, packaging, feature-access, and customer-reaction evidence. Customers are responsible for ensuring that any URLs, snippets, screenshots, or notes they add are lawful to use and do not contain private or confidential third-party information.
Do not upload secrets, private customer lists, protected credentials, payment card details, health information, or other regulated data into signal notes or campaign-pack inputs.
Service providers
We use service providers to operate the product, including Vercel for hosting, Supabase Postgres for database storage, Stripe for billing, Resend for transactional email, OpenRouter for LLM routing, GitHub for source control, and Cloudflare for DNS.
These providers process information only as needed to provide infrastructure, billing, email, AI routing, security, and operational services for SwitchSignal and Grindworks.
Data retention and deletion
We retain account, billing, analytics, signal, and campaign data for as long as needed to provide the service, comply with financial records requirements, resolve disputes, and improve the product.
You can request deletion of your account or workspace data by contacting us. Some billing, security, and compliance records may be retained where legally or operationally required.
Security
SwitchSignal uses server-side authentication, scoped database access, row-level security on the Supabase schema, and Stripe-hosted payment flows. Environment secrets are stored outside the product repository.
No internet service can be guaranteed perfectly secure. If you believe you found a security issue, contact us with enough detail to reproduce and assess it.
